Food blogging can be an ethically dubious business. It’s why contact pages are often crammed with disclaimers, promises and pledges.

I’m going to keep it simple though.

Lots of my friends are kind enough to read this blog.  There’s no way in hell that I would recommend anything here which I wouldn’t recommend to them in person. The thought of a friend spending their hard-earned money on a meal at a rubbish restaurant which I recommended because it was a freebie is the pits.

I work as a freelance writer. Just as magazines I’ve worked on accept freebies, I too am more than happy to look at review products, but retain all editorial freedom.
